dotnet-domain-modeling SKILL.md skillA
dotnet-domain-modeling from arasz/ai-badger is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add arasz/ai-badger/dotnet-domain-modeling@v1.1.0Pins v1.1.0 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Use when modeling immutable C#/.NET domain layers: sealed records with required/init props, CommunityToolkit.Diagnostics guards (and when to hand-roll them), state-transition methods, policy objects, extension-point interfaces (DIM), FluentValidation nested validators, ArchUnitNET purity enforcement — with TDD for pure domain layers. Triggers: DDD aggregates/value objects, domain-purity rules, validator design.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# .NET Domain Modeling
Immutable domain models in C# using sealed records, CommunityToolkit.Diagnostics guard clauses, and pure-domain TDD.
## When to Use
- Building DDD aggregates, entities, value objects in C#
- Domain layer must stay pure (no infra, HTTP, persistence, LLM dependencies)
- State machine / lifecycle transitions on domain objects
- Policy objects that evaluate decisions based on aggregate state + confidence thresholds
- Extension-point interfaces (repository, monitor, adapter)
## Immutable Record Pattern
### Structure
```csharp
using CommunityToolkit.Diagnostics;
namespace MyApp.Domain.Feature;
/// <summary>Brief doc comment — state contract, not rationale.</summary>
public sealed record MyAggregate
{
public required string Id { get; init; }
public required string UserId { get; init; } // partition key
public MyStatus Status { get; init; } = MyStatus.Draft;
public required DateTimeOffset CreatedAt { get; init; }
// Immutable transition: guard + return new instance
public MyAggregate Activate()
{
if (Status != MyStatus.Draft)
ThrowHelper.ThrowInvalidOperationException(
How to install
mdr add arasz/ai-badger/dotnet-domain-modeling@sha256:e6ab36b5c7f17d64The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
