Pre-deploy sanity check for environment files and project paths. Use when the user says /preflight, "preflight check", "audit env", "check env file", "deploy ready", "before deploy", or when auth or storage works locally but breaks in production. Catches literal backslash-n inside quoted dotenv values, trailing whitespace inside quoted values, non-ASCII working paths combined with Next.js, and empty catch blocks.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Preflight
Run before a production deploy, before pushing a release branch, or whenever auth
or storage suddenly fails in production but works locally. It is an interactive
check, not a CI gate.

Run from the project root:

If `jq` or `grep -P` is missing on this machine, say so and skip that check rather
than reporting a pass.

One line per check, with `file:line` and a one-line fix for every failure:

How to install
mdr add mancerayder42/jarvis-os/preflight@sha256:9735f39a6f4de7adThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261001.dbca020, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
