Done-gate for a web page built by a small model. Run it before saying a landing page is finished: brief coverage, then nine executable checks, one per defect seen in Qwen3.8-27B pages (fonts, OG tags, dark mode, 390 px overflow, number wrapping, hero collisions, tracking, language, a script that does not parse). Commands and pass conditions, no design theory.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Ship gate (`design-ship-gate`) **Run this before you say a page is finished.** Read the brief again, then run every check below and paste each command's output. A check you did not run is a check that failed. Fix, re-run, then report `GATE: 9/9` with the outputs. **Run check 9 first**: it needs only `node`, and a page whose script does not parse is not a page. Why a gate and not more rules: the design rules were loaded and the pages still broke them. Nine pages from one brief, audited with real renders: more than two font families **5 / 9**, no Open Graph tags **6 / 9**, hero elements colliding **3 / 9**, a number split from its unit **3 / 9**. Every one of those was found by a command, never by re-reading the rule. ## 0. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
