Onboard a user to flow after /flow init. A short walkthrough of how flow works, a demo (a free replay in the Flow pane, or a real run that uses tokens) and the Core settings, written through the mcp__flow__settings tool. Use when /flow init, /flow init settings or /flow init demo live asks you to follow this skill, or when the user asks how to get started with flow or how to set it up.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # flow init
The user ran `/flow init`. The command already gave you the detected facts (base branch, remote, gh, test and
check command candidates, and what each settings layer holds). Do the **part** you were told: `all` (walkthrough,
then demo, then settings), `settings`, or `live` (only the real demo). Keep steps short and let the user skip ahead ("skip", "next", "settings"). Do not start managers or workers for anything except the real demo, and only after the user confirms.
Some tools are deferred: load `mcp__flow__settings` and `mcp__flow__demo` with ToolSearch first
(`select:mcp__flow__settings,mcp__flow__demo`).
## 1. Walkthrough (part: all)
Give these as a few short messages. After each, ask whether to go on or skip to the demo or settings. Say only what is true in the README ("A day with flow"); do not invent commands.
1. **Roles.** You (main) hand over tasks. flow starts one **manager** per task. A manager plans the task and
starts **workers**, each building one piece in its own git worktree and opening a PR. One **reviewer**
merges handed-over PRs, runs the full check, cuts the release and deploys. Everything runs inside this session.

How to install
mdr add ying-kai-liao/flow/init@sha256:fecb5f2c512cc166The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261015.eb39b6d, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
