Install and set up @data-client/react or @data-client/vue in a project. Detects project type (NextJS, Expo, React Native, Vue, plain React) and protocol (REST, GraphQL, custom), then follows the bundled protocol-specific setup guide.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Setup Reactive Data Client Before installing anything, tell the user which packages and skills you'll add. A request to add or set up Data Client is the go-ahead; otherwise wait for theirs. ## Detection Steps Before installing, detect the project type and protocol by checking these files: ### 1. Detect Package Manager Check which lock file exists: - `yarn.lock` → use `yarn add` - `pnpm-lock.yaml` → use `pnpm add` - `package-lock.json` or `bun.lockb` → use `npm install` or `bun add` ### 2. Detect Project Type Check `package.json` dependencies: | Check | Project Type | |-------|--------------| | `"next"` in dependencies | **NextJS** | | `"expo"` in dependencies | **Expo** | | `"vue"` in dependencies | **Vue** | | `"react-native"` in dependencies (no expo) | **React Native** | | `"react"` in dependencies | **Plain React** | ### 3. Detect Protocol Type Scan the codebase to determine which data-fetching protocols are used: #### REST Detection Look for these patterns: - `fetch()` calls with REST-style URLs (`/api/`, `/users/`, etc.) - HTTP client libraries: `axios`, `ky`, `got`, `superagent` in `package.json` …

How to install
mdr add reactive/data-client/data-client-setup@sha256:b76d493796d76699The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261021.bb0dda6, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
