Manage dotfiles via chezmoi — apply safely, destroy files, manage LaunchAgents and externals, config and template gotchas.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
`chezmoi apply` deploys source files to `~` and runs `run_onchange` scripts (brew bundle, skill sync, etc.). ## Deploy workflow Changes land via `chezmoi-deploy`, not pull requests. The source dir is pinned to the primary checkout, so a bare `chezmoi apply` always reads `main` — work is verified render-only until deployed. - **Verify render-only — never a bare `chezmoi apply` from a worktree.** Pass `-S "$(pwd)"` with no-mutation verbs: `chezmoi diff -S "$(pwd)"`, `chezmoi apply -n -v -S "$(pwd)"` (dry-run; also shows which scripts would fire), `chezmoi cat -S "$(pwd)" <target>`. - **Deploy with `chezmoi-deploy <branch>`.** It locks, rebases the branch onto the primary checkout's `main` when needed, fast-forward-merges it into `main`, runs `chezmoi apply --force`, and pushes `main` to origin. A rebase conflict is aborted; resolve it in the worktree and retry. Safe from a hosted aoe session: the session runs in a tmux pane independent of any LaunchAgent, and the generator only reloads agents whose plist content actually changed — it never touches the tmux pane a deploy is running from. …

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
