Assess project file organization and prepare a behavior-preserving migration plan for /implement when reorganization is justified.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Improve File Structure Find where file placement makes a project hard to navigate or change. Design the smallest useful reorganization, grounded in the project's language, framework, and existing conventions. End with a plan for `/implement`; this skill changes no project files. Present the plan in the conversation unless the user requests a saved artifact. **File placement is the scope.** Moves, descriptive path names, and the import or configuration updates they require belong here. Changes to responsibilities, interfaces, or dependency direction belong in `/improve-architecture` in Claude linked installs or Cursor, `/supermatt:improve-architecture` from the Claude plugin, `$improve-architecture` in Codex, or `/skill:improve-architecture` in OMP. Code-level cleanup belongs in `/refactor`, `/supermatt:refactor`, `$refactor`, or `/skill:refactor`, respectively. Identify those needs without adding them to a relocation plan. ## Principles …

How to install
mdr add svyatov/supermatt/improve-file-structure@sha256:c8b6d904f5f7b6ebThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261018.f19c25a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
