baseline-selector SKILL.md skillA
baseline-selector from pengqianhan/ai-human-research-os is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.

Use when selecting, auditing, or justifying experimental baselines for a research idea, paper draft, task, benchmark, or experiment plan. Finds classic methods, recent SOTA, direct competitors, strong simple baselines, ablation baselines, resource-matched comparisons, and reviewer-expected missing baselines, but only admits baselines with non-empty, accessible GitHub repositories that appear reproducible. Records strong papers without usable open-source code as excluded candidates rather than…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Baseline Selector Use this skill to turn a research idea, task, paper, or experiment plan into a defensible baseline set for experiments and paper submission. Core rule: ```text No usable GitHub implementation, no selected baseline. ``` A method may be important, classic, or SOTA, but it cannot enter the recommended baseline set unless its GitHub repository is accessible, non-empty, and plausibly reproducible. Record such methods as excluded candidates with the exclusion reason. ## Modes Decide the mode from the user request: 1. **Idea to baselines**: user gives a new idea or method sketch. 2. **Task to SOTA**: user asks for baselines for a task, dataset, or benchmark. 3. **Paper audit**: user provides a draft or existing baseline list to check for gaps. 4. **Reviewer-risk check**: user asks what reviewers will say is missing. 5. **Resource-limited selection**: user gives compute/time limits and needs a minimal set. 6. **Reproduction planning**: user already has candidates and needs runnable code choices. ## Output Profiles Choose an output profile based on the user's real objective. The same task may produce different baseline recommendations under different profiles. …

How to install
mdr add pengqianhan/ai-human-research-os/baseline-selector@sha256:c3d9a307b953f455The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260715.38d79be, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
