Cut an Atmosphere release end to end — the only path to release-4x.yml. Use whenever a release, a version cut, "ship it" or publishing to Maven Central/npm/Homebrew/SDKMAN is requested. Runs the preflight in order (open carnet, compatibility review, CI green on HEAD, sample sweep covering HEAD), triggers the workflow, verifies every distribution channel, labels the carnet, and cleans up. Stops at the first failed check.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Release `release-4x.yml` publishes to five channels that cannot be taken back: - Maven Central and npm are immutable. - Homebrew and SDKMAN are announced to users. This skill is the checklist in front of it. **Run every step in order and stop at the first one that fails.** A failed check is reported to the maintainer with the evidence. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
