scripts-tooling-refactor SKILL.md skillB
This file is byte-identical to the first copy the registry indexed. Same content hash, so the same checks give both the same grade.
scripts-tooling-refactor from arasz/ai-badger is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add arasz/ai-badger/scripts-tooling-refactor@v1.0.0Pins v1.0.0 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Use when refactoring a repo's scripts/ directory: convert non-python scripts to the repo's tooling language, move logic to src/ with tests in tests/ (TDD first), prune dead scripts on usage evidence (git ls-files inventory, LIVE/HISTORICAL classification, three-way sync contracts), and preserve call sites with thin wrappers.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Scripts-tooling refactor Refactoring a repo's `scripts/` directory into a maintained layout: per-repo tooling language only, logic in `src/`, tests in `tests/` (TDD), dead scripts pruned on evidence. The user's convention across repos (the project 2026-08, the reference repo earlier): **all non-python scripts converted to python** (the reference repo's stated tooling language is Bun TypeScript — always check the repo's own convention, never assume), **old/not-used scripts removed**, **src + tests layout**, **TDD: tests written first**. Pairs with `den-refresh` (framework refresh hygiene) and the `task` skill (worktree + orchestration). Run inside the task worktree. ## Step 1 — Inventory with tracking, not `find` `find scripts -type f` shows gitignored generated files too. Use `git ls-files scripts/` — the tracked set is the refactor surface. Note gitignored outputs (e.g. `baseline-results.json`) separately: they're generated, never commit them, don't move them. ## Step 2 — Usage evidence decides dead vs live (the core technique) For every file, trace references across the repo. Use a ripgrep-backed search (grep -rln over the whole repo can time out on ignored dirs). …

How to install
mdr add arasz/ai-badger/scripts-tooling-refactor@sha256:5b7343ed22ff42a7The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
