Tracks the state of a user's job applications and drafts the follow-up communication around them. Use when the user wants to track their applications, see where they are across all their applications, build or update an application tracker, ask "what should I follow up on?", draft a polite check-in for an application that has gone quiet, write a post-interview thank-you note, or mark an application's status (applied, interviewing, offer, rejected, withdrawn). Maintains a small tracker.json and…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# application-tracker (family tracker member) Keep a clear, shareable record of where every application stands, and draft the polite follow-ups and thank-you notes that move them forward — without ever sending mail on the user's behalf. This is the **tracker** member of the job-hunter family, and it maps to "Phase 4: Prepare for Submission" plus "Phase 4.5: Stale-application follow-ups" of the end-to-end hunt. ## When to use this skill Use this skill when the user wants to **track** applications or **draft follow-up communication**: - "Track my applications" / "build me an application tracker" - "Where am I on all my applications?" / "show me my application statuses" - "What should I follow up on?" / "which applications have gone quiet?" - "Draft a follow-up for the Stripe application" - "I had a phone screen yesterday — help me write a thank-you note" - "Mark the Acme application as interviewing" / "update my tracker" Do **not** use this skill for tailoring or optimizing a resume (use **resume-tailor**), writing a cover letter (use **cover-letter**), preparing for an interview …

How to install
mdr add wexxwuther/job-hunter/application-tracker@sha256:555258d8f0e6a3c5The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261018.c01d73c, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
