Resolve stable reusable visual assets for a Work, Script, Episode, Scene, or Shot. Use when an agent must discover visual objects, decide whether they merit long-term Asset identity, reuse an existing Asset, or create a new standard reference.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Asset Resolution Resolve within the selected creative version as well as Work. A fresh narrative baseline excludes earlier-version assets even when names or Work IDs match; use the existing narrativeRef/freshBaseline mechanism and never recover an excluded version through global search or a missing-reference fallback. Keep reference purpose separate from artistic acceptance. A selected storyboard or Animatic frame proves a proposed cinematic moment, not adoption of its depicted face, room or prop as a stable asset. Do not automatically register, discover or promote it as CHARACTER/LOCATION/PROP. A deliberate later asset use needs its own source-bound design and the existing exact-media asset adoption path. Character identity, location structure and object construction should normally come from their scoped proofs; retain composition/performance studies as such. A successful render or a film's adopted interval cannot grant these other duties. Resolve continuity-critical props from the screenplay-derived Asset Manifest and Prop Design original as stable PROP identities. Search within the current Work …

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
