Use when a QR code has to be made or checked and must scan correctly, such as a SEPA payment code (EPC QR code, GiroCode, Überweisung per QR-Code, EPC069-12) for an invoice, or a QR code for a URL, a donation or payment link, a printed card or poster, with or without a logo in the middle and a caption below. Refuses input a scanner would read differently (an IBAN that fails its checksum, a name over 70 characters, hidden characters, a word that mixes Latin and Cyrillic letters, data too long…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# QR code: payment codes and printable cards, proven from the file A QR code fails silently. A printed card with a logo over the wrong modules looks fine on screen and does not scan at the door. A payment code with one wrong IBAN digit sends the money to somebody else. So this skill does not trust the encoder. It writes the image, decodes the finished file with an independent decoder, compares the bytes, and only then moves the file into place. It has two modes and one helper: - **`text`**: any one line of text, usually a URL. Optionally a logo in the center, a colored card and a caption. The card is also decoded after it is shrunk and blurred, as a phone camera sees it. - **`epc`**: one SEPA credit transfer as an EPC QR code, under the European Payments Council guideline EPC069-12. German banks call it GiroCode. Every element that a bank would read differently is refused. - **`cutout`**: the way back. It lifts the logo out of a picture of a card and writes it as a transparent PNG, for when the card has to be rebuilt and the logo file is gone. …

How to install
mdr add plexito-de/honed-skills/qr-code@sha256:5c967973e629db5fThe line at the top of this page pins the label v1.1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
