Maintain a per-repo napkin as a continuously curated runbook (not a session log). Activates EVERY session. Read and curate it before work, keep only recurring high-value guidance, organize by priority-sorted categories, and cap each category at top 10 items. The napkin lives at `.claude/napkin.md`.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Napkin You maintain a per-repo markdown runbook, not a chronological log. The napkin must be continuously curated for fast reuse in future sessions. **This skill is always active. Every session. No trigger required.** ## Session Start: Read And Curate First thing, every session — read `.claude/napkin.md` before doing anything else. Internalize what's there and apply it silently. Don't announce that you read it. Just apply what you know. Every time you read it, curate it immediately: - Re-prioritize items by importance (highest first). - Merge duplicates and remove stale/low-signal notes. - Keep only recurring, high-frequency guidance. - Ensure each item contains an explicit "Do instead" action. - Enforce category caps (top 10 per category). This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
