Morning house brief — live status, overnight anomalies, energy snapshot, pending proposals, and today's priorities. Runs as a daily routine or on demand.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# HA Morning Brief
A house-focused morning brief that combines live HA state with hermit session context. Designed to run as the `morning-brief` routine at start of day.
When both `hermitd` and `hermitd-homeassistant` are installed and `morning-brief` is enabled, this skill subsumes `/hermitd:brief --morning` — operators should disable the core `morning` routine to avoid duplicate notifications. For hermits without HA, `/hermitd:brief --morning` remains the standalone path.
## Steps
1. **Time & context** — Call `GetDateTime` for current time. Read `.hermit/OPERATOR.md` for priorities and language preferences.
2. **Fetch overnight history**: Run `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/bin/ha-agent-lab ha fetch-history --window-days 1`. When it prints `{"error"}` (exit 1), pipe one line into `.hermit/bin/hermitd-run task note .hermit <id>` only inside an open record's turn (otherwise skip the note) (`history fetch failed: <error>`) and skip the `Overnight:` section entirely: no fallback wording in the brief. On success, read `.hermit/raw/snapshot-ha-history-1d-latest.json`.
3. **Live house snapshot** — Call `GetLiveContext`. Extract and organize:

How to install
mdr add gtapps/hermitd/ha-morning-brief@sha256:eb70c4871bbfc71aThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261017.6d742b3, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
