# recipe-finance-dashboard This recipe makes a new Xcode project: a personal finance dashboard for one iPhone Duo. Closed, it shows the total balance, money in and out this month, a spending chart against an even pace to the budget, the newest transactions and spending by category, in one column. Open, the window becomes one even grid with the fold in its middle gutter: balance and every transaction on the leading side, the chart and categories on the trailing side. Pick a transaction and it replaces the chart, next to the list it came from. The sample data is a placeholder (six months of realistic transactions, pinned to 20 October 2026). The value is the frame: panes that sit on the fold in every pose, a selection that survives opening and closing the phone, money maths you can test on the Mac in seconds, and UI tests that pass on the Duo simulator in any pose. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
