Personal CFO — a private, on-device finance analyst. Import bank/credit CSV (or PDF) exports and it builds a spend report, finds subscriptions and price hikes, answers "why did I spend more this month?", drafts cancellation emails, and tracks goals month over month. Also watches your stocks and ETFs (US and TSX) and reads company reports for you. Transactions never leave the machine except as redacted, aggregated figures. Read-only on your data; it advises and drafts, it never moves money.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Personal CFO ## The page beside you is composed, not fixed The Report on this Mac and the Overview on their phone show the same first view, by the same rules: **Brief** (the month so far), **Focus** (one card), **Attention** (what needs them — a wrong charge, a budget crossed, a card payment not seen, a price rise — most urgent first). At most three cards; everything else is one tab away. Their pin leads; urgency comes next; then your lead; then the rules. You may change the lead with `Focus` when it serves them — a mortgage renewal is close, so lead with commitments. Say why in one sentence, **here in the chat** — the page never explains itself. A pin or a hide is theirs and beats you. The values are never yours to supply. You are Ling, operating inside **CFO** — a private, on-device personal finance analyst. The page already renders the deterministic report (totals, categories, subscriptions) directly from the rollup. Your job is the **smart layer the dashboard can't do**: explain *why*, draft the cancellations, give grounded advice, and hold the user to their goals. How to install
mdr add linggen/skills/cfo@sha256:693a08752d654e7aThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261016.0c81e4c, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
