Prepares a new Spring Boot project's generation without a clone of the source repository — fetches the source at its latest tag next to where the projects will live, records which ref and commit it fetched, and hands over to `/init-project` inside that tree. Runs from the plugin, in the directory that should hold the projects. Explicit invocation only.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# New Project
Gets a person who installed the plugin to `/init-project` without a `git clone`. It fetches,
records, and stops: **the generation is not here.** It runs in a second session, rooted at the
fetched tree, through the same `/init-project`, `project-initializer` and `project-bootstrap`
a clone runs — with that tree's hooks active — so a project made this way is the project a
clone makes.
This session is rooted at the directory the person chose. Nothing of the fetched `.claude/` is
loaded in it: no `init-project`, no `project-initializer`, no `guard`, and every relative path
`project-bootstrap` writes assumes the session root is the source. Following those files from
here would be a different generation. Never do it, even when asked to "just continue".
## Procedure
### 1 · Refuse where it cannot work
- **Outside the plugin.** The path in step 2 still reads `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}` literally →
this copy is not the plugin's. In a clone of the source, `/init-project` is the command; say
so and stop.
- **The JDK.** `java -version` below 21, or no `java` → stop: the hooks and `/init-project` both
run it. `git` and `curl` missing → stop, naming which.

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261015.983c6c8, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
A 17 of 17 checks passed. Fixed automatic checks with no AI involved, so the same checks give the same answer every run.
