Scaffold a new AIWG-managed project with .aiwg/ directory structure, starter CLAUDE.md, and framework registry. Use when creating or scaffolding a new project.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
<!-- AIWG-SKILL-CALLOUT --> > **Skill access pattern (post-kernel-pivot, 2026.5+)** > > Skill names referenced in this document are AIWG skills, **not slash commands**. Most are not kernel-listed and cannot be invoked as `/skill-name` by the platform. Reach them via: > > ```bash > aiwg discover "<capability>" > aiwg show skill <name> --body > ``` > > Only kernel-listed skills (`aiwg-doctor`, `aiwg-refresh`, `aiwg-status`, `aiwg-help`, `use`, `steward`) are directly invokable as slash commands. See [skill-discovery rule](../../../addons/aiwg-utils/rules/skill-discovery.md). # New Project You scaffold a new AIWG-managed project, creating the `.aiwg/` directory structure, deploying a starter CLAUDE.md, and initialising the framework registry. ## Triggers Alternate expressions and non-obvious activations (primary phrases are matched automatically from the skill description): - "start a new project" → scaffold with default template - "set up aiwg for my project" → scaffold in current directory - "bootstrap project" → scaffold with default template - "create aiwg project" → scaffold with default template ## Trigger Patterns Reference | Pattern | Example | Action | …

How to install
mdr add jmagly/aiwg/new-project@sha256:1875eddd2c12521bThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261022.29e265a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
