docs-optimise SKILL.md skillA
This file is byte-identical to the first copy the registry indexed. Same content hash, so the same checks give both the same grade.
docs-optimise from edmonds-commerce-limited/claude-code-hooks-daemon is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add edmonds-commerce-limited/claude-code-hooks-daemon/docs-optimise@git:20261018.99a457fPins git:20261018.99a457f in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Propose a restructure of this project's agent instruction files (CLAUDE.md, @-imports, .claude/rules/, nested CLAUDE.md) so less loads at session start — one canonical home per fact, progressive disclosure. Proposal only, never edits tracked files. Trigger on "optimise CLAUDE.md", "my CLAUDE.md is too big", "shrink the always-loaded context", "restructure the instruction files".
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Documentation Optimise This skill is a **shim**. The classification rules, the report layout and the output paths are in [references/procedure.md](references/procedure.md); the rules it applies are cited, not restated: - how Claude Code loads instruction files: `contracts/claude-code-instructions/` in the daemon checkout (`META.json` names the audited Claude Code version) - the daemon's documentation ruleset (R6, R7a, R7d): `CLAUDE/DocumentationStrategy.md` ## What to do 1. Measure first: run `.claude/skills/docs-optimise/scripts/footprint.sh` (it wraps `docs-qa --footprint --json`). It lists what loads at session start versus on demand, with line and byte totals. 2. Follow [references/procedure.md](references/procedure.md) to classify each always-loaded section and write the proposal. 3. Tell the user where the proposal is and how to apply the patch. ```claude-code /docs-optimise # the whole instruction-file set /docs-optimise CLAUDE.md # focus on one file ``` ## Contract - **Proposal only.** Everything is written under `untracked/scratch/docs-optimise/<run-id>/`. It never edits a tracked file and never adds an allowlist entry. …

How to install
mdr add edmonds-commerce-limited/claude-code-hooks-daemon/docs-optimise@sha256:13a864f74a245688The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261018.99a457f, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
