Acceptance testing - execute handler tests via real Claude Code tool calls in main thread.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

## Run this first
Claude Code loads this markdown and nothing else — the file below is not run
for you, and it holds the procedure to follow (Plan 00324):
```bash
bash "${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR:-.claude/skills/acceptance-test}/invoke.sh" <filter, or omit for all>
Follow its output exactly; what is written here is orientation.
## Description
Execute acceptance tests for hooks daemon handlers via **real Claude Code tool calls in the main thread**. Tests verify real-world handler behaviour by invoking actual tools (Bash, Write, Edit, Read) and observing hook responses in system-reminders.
## Execution Routing
**Each test's `Requires Main Thread` field in the generated playbook decides where it runs.** The method's canonical
home is `CLAUDE/AcceptanceTests/GENERATING.md` ("SUB-AGENT EXECUTION"); `CLAUDE/development/RELEASING.md` Step 12
points there too. In short:
- **`Requires Main Thread: yes`** — run in the main session, sequentially, and NEVER delegate. Lifecycle events
(SessionStart, SessionEnd, UserPromptSubmit) and this session's system-reminders cannot be observed from a
How to install
mdr add edmonds-commerce-limited/claude-code-hooks-daemon/acceptance-test@sha256:237c62aa9e46b525The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261013.289d231, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
