Use this skill to draft useful, native Reddit replies in three rotating formats with subreddit tone calibration. Trigger it when responding to a specific Reddit thread or preparing authentic community participation, not when writing promotional ads.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Reddit Reply Writer ## Usage Use when writing a reply to a Reddit thread, crafting authentic engagement, or preparing replies for community participation. Works for any subreddit. ## Process ### Step 1: Gather Inputs Ask the user for: 1. **Product/brand context** — what you sell, who it's for, what tone to use (so the reply can subtly align voice without being promotional) 2. **Subreddit name** — which community the reply is for 3. **Thread title** — exact title 4. **Original post** — full text of the OP 5. **Top existing replies** — at least the top 3 replies 6. **Tone guidance** (optional) — "more casual," "technical audience," etc. ### Step 2: Thread Analysis - Identify what the OP is actually confused about (not what they asked) - Decide what is missing or unclear in existing replies ### Step 3: Write the Reply Write a reply that: - Feels human and experience-based - Explains the reasoning or system behind the answer - Does not sell, promote, or link - Sounds like it belongs in this exact subreddit - Uses natural formatting (short paragraphs, bullets if native) - Prioritizes clarity over completeness ### Step 4: Apply Format Rotation …

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
