Use whenever work on any project is split across more than one session: starting or resuming an orchestrator, a lane or a sub-lane; before addressing another session; before handing work between sessions or integrating a lane's change set; any time two sessions could write the same file.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Lane orchestration — one manager, many owners **The standing architecture for any multi-session work in this workspace.** > ⭐ **The principle:** The orchestrator is the manager of any project; each lane is the owner and > responsible for any work it does, whether implementation, review or any issue. A lane does its own > research, understands the whole vision, interacts with the orchestrator, posts the right questions, > reviews its own work, and always gives the work back when it is fully reviewed and properly checked. ⛔ **This is not only for reviews.** Implementation, migration, audit, research — anything split across sessions runs this way. --- ## 0 · ⭐⭐⭐ START HERE — the commands, and the reads **Starting a programme?** `/orchestrate <name>` (via `scripts/kernel/new-programme.sh`) scaffolds the hub from `templates/orchestration/`, divides the work by mechanism, and hands you a starter prompt per lane. ⛔ **You do not hand-build any of this, and you do not invent the connection procedure.** …

How to install
mdr add kahl-d/jaja/lane-orchestration@sha256:ffd2c5c8b1d44b4eThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261023.9f9eaf2, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
