Creates and maintains phase plan documents in docs/phases/ files. Use when turning design chat into a structured phase plan, or when adding, removing, editing, moving, or changing task status in sprint plans, viewing sprint or phase progress, or restructuring sprints. Also used by the phase-doc-sync sub-agent when phase-builder applies SPRINT RESULT updates after each implementation wave.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Phase Planner
Creates and maintains phase plan documents — task and sprint lifecycle in `docs/phases/Phase-*.md` files.

## Phase File Location
All phase files live at: `docs/phases/Phase-{N}-{Name}.md`
One file per phase, numbered sequentially from 1. Always read the target file before making edits.

## Task Table Format
Each sprint has a task table. The **canonical format** includes a Status column:

**Module and Reference are optional cells.** The header row always lists all five columns (`Status | # | Task | Module | Reference`), but a task row **omits trailing placeholders** instead of writing `| — |` or `| — | — |`:

How to install
mdr add ayejk/phase-runner/phase-planner@sha256:e6ddec3f4b9dd01bThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261004.12e5cda, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
