Static IPs and load balancers on Control Plane. Use when the user asks about IP sets, fixed IPs, direct or dedicated load balancers, exposing raw TCP/UDP ports, IP allowlisting, geo headers, or egress IPs.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # IP Sets & Load Balancing > **Tool availability:** `update_ipset` and `configure_workload_load_balancer` need `?toolsets=full`; reconnect with it or use the CLI. An IP set reserves one static public IPv4 address per location and attaches it to a **direct** (per-workload) or **dedicated** (per-GVC) load balancer. The linking is bidirectional, and the recurring failure is configuring only one side: the IP set's `spec.link` must point at the workload/GVC AND that target's load balancer must reference the IP set back — otherwise addresses sit `unbound` and the IP set carries `status.warning: Cross-link misconfiguration`. How to install
mdr add controlplane-com/ai-plugin/ipset-load-balancing@sha256:cda1c3bef603db62The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260925.7bf99b8, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
