Deploying a constellation-service–derived backend to AWS ECS Fargate with Terraform — state bootstrap, ECR image flow, secrets, and migrations-on-boot implications.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Terraform Deploy (AWS ECS Fargate) ## Scope Apply this skill for deployment and infrastructure work in a project scaffolded from the **constellation-service** boilerplate: first deploys, releasing a new image, changing task sizing, secrets, or DNS. The heavy lifting lives in the shared **constellation-infra** Terraform module — this repo's `terraform/` is a thin consumer of it. ## Layout ``` terraform/ ├── bootstrap/ → one-time: S3 state bucket (versioned, encrypted, public-access blocked) ├── main.tf → S3 backend config + the constellation_service module (from constellation-infra) ├── variables.tf → app_image, db_* (db_password is sensitive), task_cpu/memory, │ skip_ecs_deployment, health_check_path, … ├── outputs.tf → ecr_repository_url, app_url, database_endpoint, service_name, … ├── terraform.tfvars → GITIGNORED — copy terraform.tfvars.example and fill in └── terraform/README.md → TF_VAR_app_secrets JSON shape, Grafana Cloud vars ``` …

How to install
mdr add jvoliveiran/constellation-harness/terraform-deploy@sha256:6350ddaedf729b5eThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260703.a1c7a3f, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
