Implements a feature or fix test-first: write failing tests, make them pass with the least code, then refactor. Tests track acceptance criteria, not implementation details. Trigger on: "implement with TDD", "write the tests first", "TDD workflow", "red-green-refactor".
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# TDD Implementation The goal is to write honest tests that define behavior, implement the minimum code to pass them, then clean up. No rigging tests to pass. No over-engineering beyond what the tests require. ## Step 1: Understand what you're building Before writing a single test, be clear on: - What problem does this solve? - What are the acceptance criteria (from the issue, the user, or both)? - What already exists in the codebase that you can build on? ```bash # Discover existing patterns before planning find src/ -name "*.test.*" -o -name "*.spec.*" | head -5 # How tests are structured here find src/ -name "*.ts" -o -name "*.tsx" | xargs grep -l "[relevant term]" | head -5 ``` ## Step 2: Define the MVP test plan Write down 3-5 tests before touching implementation code. Each test should: - Map directly to a specific acceptance criterion - Test user-observable behavior, not internal implementation - Answer: "Would a user notice if this broke?" Tests to avoid: - "renders without crashing" - Prop-passing tests - Checking that a function was called (unless it's the actual requirement) - Exhaustive edge cases not in the acceptance criteria …

How to install
mdr add jerseycheese/agent-skills/tdd-implement@sha256:c37d8724867d87c3The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261016.04e815b, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
