Show commits since the last tag in a formatted table. Use when user asks "what changed since last release", "commits since last tag", "last-tag", "what's new", or wants to see recent unreleased changes.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Last Tag - Commits Since Last Release Show commits since the last tag in a formatted table with optional details. ## Activation Triggers - "last tag", "last-tag", "since last tag" - "what changed since last release" - "commits since last tag" - "what's new", "unreleased changes" ## Workflow **Important**: Avoid `$()` command substitution in Bash tool - use sequential steps. 1. Fetch tags from remote and get the last tag: ```bash git fetch origin --tags ``` Then get the last tag: ```bash git describe --tags --abbrev=0 ``` Store this value (e.g., `v1.2.3`) for use in subsequent commands. 2. Get commits since that tag with format `date|author|hash|subject` (substitute TAG with actual value): ```bash git log TAG..HEAD --format="%ad|%an|%h|%s" --date=short ``` 3. Check if all commits have the same author - extract unique authors from step 2 output. If only one unique author name appears in all rows, it's a single author. 4. How to install
mdr add umputun/cc-thingz/last-tag@sha256:675e408c4a0251baThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260402.605bef0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
