Diagnoses React render performance by driving a micro-interaction, capturing real renders, and surfacing memo-defeating reference instability with a recommended structural fix. Measure-only, it emits a diagnosis and does not auto-fix. Trigger on `/gaia-react-perf` or natural-language asks like "profile renders", "measure renders", "why is X re-rendering", or "diagnose render performance". Do NOT trigger on vague "feels slow", "janky", or "optimize my app…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Run the GAIA **react-perf** measure-only diagnostic with these arguments: `$ARGUMENTS` Run it in whichever tree holds the branch, the main checkout or a linked worktree: the dev server and Playwright bind that tree's own ports (`bash .gaia/scripts/ports.sh` prints them). Read `apps/web/.claude/skills/gaia-react-perf/references/measure-only.md` from the project root and follow it exactly. Treat the arguments above as an optional inline target (the page plus the micro-interaction to profile); if empty, ask the user to name a concrete micro-interaction before proceeding, per the reference.
Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
mdr add gaia-react/gaia/gaia-react-perf@sha256:1c56f516db2930a9The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261102.65f04fe, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
