# ACP protocol readiness and compatibility - Completion of a JSON-RPC response does not mean that session-ready notifications have already arrived. - After `session/new` or `session/load`, a consumer expecting `available_commands_update` keeps reading until that notification arrives and preserves every intervening notification. - Do not diagnose an immediately empty catalog as a skill or rule discovery failure before reading the post-response notification. - Preserve ACP schema wire names and generated camelCase fields.
