Write or review CONTRIBUTING.md or a contribution guide so a first-time contributor can choose a task, set up safely, make a small change, validate it, and submit it under the repository's actual policies. Use for contributor onboarding and contribution-guide audits, not to change those policies.

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
