Use when a target journal has no profile yet. Reads the journal's author guidelines and writes a detailed /write-paper profile plus a compact /find-journal profile, public or user-local private, in the canonical format with quality gates.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Add Journal Skill
Generate two profiles per journal from its author guidelines: a detailed write-paper profile
(~100-150 lines) and a compact find-journal profile (~30 lines). Write profile content in English;
the library is shared.
## Key Directories
Profiles live in one of two tiers. Pick the target in Phase 0, before any extraction.
- **Public** (shipped; must meet the verification bar in
`${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/../find-journal/POLICY.md`):
- write-paper: `${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/../write-paper/references/journal_profiles/`
- find-journal: `${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/../find-journal/references/journal_profiles/`
- **User-local private** (per-user, never pushed to git):

POLICY.md also documents promotion from private to public.

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
