principles SKILL.md skillA
principles from jeongjaesoon/agent-skills is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add jeongjaesoon/agent-skills/principles@git:20261026.385852fPins git:20261026.385852f in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Use when a design, refactor, verification or delegation call needs a named engineering principle: how big a diff, where validation goes, whether work is proven, whether a follow-up becomes a ticket, how to split work across agents, or the same instruction written twice.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Engineering principles Each principle lives in its own file under `references/`. Read the leaf file in full for any principle you apply; the line below only says when it applies. **Core** - **Laziness Protocol** (`references/principle-laziness-protocol.md`). Refactoring, sizing a diff, or tempted to add abstractions, layers, or signal threading. - **Foundational Thinking** (`references/principle-foundational-thinking.md`). Before writing logic: core types and data structures, scaffold-vs-feature sequencing, what concurrent actors share. - **Redesign from First Principles** (`references/principle-redesign-from-first-principles.md`). Integrating a new requirement into an existing design. - **Attack the Premise** (`references/principle-attack-the-premise.md`). Two or more fixes that share one premise have failed the same gate. - **Subtract Before You Add** (`references/principle-subtract-before-you-add.md`). Sequencing an addition, refactor, or rewrite. - **Minimize Reader Load** (`references/principle-minimize-reader-load.md`). Code that's hard to trace: count layers and hidden state, collapse one-caller wrappers. …

How to install
mdr add jeongjaesoon/agent-skills/principles@sha256:4699f20b569ce5edThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261026.385852f, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
