Review someone else's pull request or branch with an external reviewer model (Codex CLI by default; Claude Code or Antigravity on request) as a peer: both review independently, debate the differences, and produce one consolidated review with a merge recommendation. No code changes.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# PR Review
## Purpose
Review a pull request you did not write: does it do what it claims, is it correct and safe, does it follow the project's rules, and is it ready to merge. You and the reviewer review independently, then reconcile into one review. Nothing in the project is edited or committed.
## When to Use
A PR or branch written by someone else (a teammate, a contributor, another agent session). For your own work, including your own PR before merge, use `review-impl` in branch mode: it fixes what it finds.
## Inputs
- **The PR.** GitHub: `gh pr view <n> --json number,url,title,body,baseRefName,headRefOid,commits,files` and `gh pr view <n> --comments` (decisions already made in review). Fetch the head without checking it out: `git fetch origin <baseRefName> pull/<n>/head`. A plain branch: its name, and the base it merges into.
- `BASE_BRANCH`: the base it merges into (e.g. `origin/main`). `HEAD_REF`: the PR head as a SHA (`headRefOid`, or `git rev-parse <branch>`), so every round reviews the same version even if the author pushes meanwhile. Validate both with `git rev-parse --verify <ref>^{commit}`.

How to install
mdr add lploc94/cross-review/review-pr@sha256:d1bca212ab4522c9The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261016.8439179, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
