# Purchase order anomaly review ## Purpose Read one purchase order extract and return one DRAFT question sheet for the buyer or purchasing lead. Each row is a pattern observed in the data (for example three orders to one vendor in one week that together cross an approval threshold) turned into a neutral question naming the PO numbers, stating the observed fact and asking for the business reason or the missing document. The sheet prepares a conversation. It is never a finding, an audit conclusion, a fraud indicator or a control verdict. Most anomalies have ordinary explanations, and only the buyer, the approver or an auditor can establish which. The agent observes and asks; the people decide. ## When to use Run when the user asks to review, screen, sanity-check or spot anomalies in purchase orders, a PO log, a PO register or a spend extract, or to prepare questions for a buyer review or a pre-audit walk-through. Do not use for an expense claim or travel plan checked against a policy, use expense-policy-precheck instead. Do not run: - To conclude that any order is fraudulent, collusive, non-compliant or a policy breach. Those are audit and management conclusions. …
