Implementation order for new features - one class at a time.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Implementation Order: One Class at a Time
## "One Class at a Time" Principle
When adding new functionality, follow **"one class at a time"** principle, starting from lower architecture layers.
## Implementation Steps
### 1. Determine Layer
Determine which layer the new functionality belongs to (see @architecture.mdc)
### 2. Implement Class
- Create class with minimal implementation
- Use type hints
- Add docstrings in English
- Follow rules from @code-style.mdc
### 3. Write Tests
- Create test file `test_<module_name>.py`
- Write minimal unit tests for class
- Make sure tests pass
- Follow rules from @testing.mdc
### 4. Move to Next Layer
Only after lower layer class is ready and tested, move to upper layer classes.
## Example: Adding New Functionality
### Step 1: Tests for NewProcessor
```python
# test_processor.py
def test_new_processor():
processor = NewProcessor()
result = processor.process("test")
assert result is not None
```
### Step 2: Base Layer (NewProcessor)
```python
# processor.py
class NewProcessor:
"""New processor for special cases."""
def process(self, value: str) -> Optional[str]:
"""Process special case."""
pass
How to install
mdr add coddy-project/coddy-agent/internal/skills/bundled/rpa-gen-rules/references/cursor-examples/.cursor/rules/implementation-order.mdc@sha256:f0e036726d4ca246The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260915.d1860cb, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
