# Month-end close checklist ## Purpose Produce one DRAFT close checklist for a named period from three sources: the close calendar (tasks, owners, due working days, predecessors), the open items list (unposted journals, reconciling items, suspense balances, intercompany mismatches, pending approvals) and last month's close issues (post-close review, late tasks, late adjustments). The output is a status table the controller can circulate, a late and blocked list, dependency flags and a carry-forward of repeat issues. The agent prepares the picture; the controller decides. The agent posts, approves, reconciles, closes and signs nothing. ## When to use Run when the user asks to build or refresh the close checklist or tracker for a period, report close status as of a date, list what is late, blocked or at risk, review last month's issues against this month's plan, or prepare the close status note for the team. Do not use for a project tracker or weekly project status report, use project-status-tracker instead; for corrective and preventive actions from audits or NCRs, use corrective-action-tracker. …
