Declare immediate inline work as a Cratis Arc ICommandOperation returned by a model-bound command, with optional compensation and commit-aware recovery. Use when moving service writes out of Handle(), choosing operation return shapes, diagnosing recovery, or specifying execution and compensation through CommandScenario. Do not use for durable after-commit delivery, validation-only changes, or framework return-type extensions through response value handlers.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Return work from an Arc command A command should be able to decide which seat to reserve without reserving it in the decision spec. `Handle()` returns immutable descriptions of the work; Arc executes them and, when the commit boundary permits, compensates attempted work. You write the business reversal, not a rollback stack. **Command operations are the recommended way to express immediate inline side effects in model-bound commands.** Direct service calls remain supported. Chronicle is not required. ## Verified product sources | Package / source assembly | Verified version | Purpose | | --- | --- | --- | | `Cratis.Arc.Core` | `22.75.0` | `Cratis.Arc.Commands`: operation declarations, pipeline, scopes, recovery observations | | `Cratis.Arc.Core.CodeAnalysis` / `Cratis.Arc.Core.Generators` | `22.75.0` | ARC0016–ARC0018 and typed invocation; generator ships inside Core, not as a standalone package | | `Cratis.Arc.ProxyGenerator` | `22.75.0` | Excludes operations and batches from the client response | | `Cratis.Arc.Testing` | `22.75.0` | `Cratis.Arc.Testing.Commands.CommandScenario<TCommand>` and operation assertions | …

How to install
mdr add cratis/ai/cratis-arc-command-operation@sha256:8a6960d941811c3fThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261012.1578108, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
