Define a Cratis Arc command in Kotlin or Java — the @Command class, its handle() method, the optional provide() step, Chronicle event responses, and command authorization. Use when adding a command to a Kotlin or Java Arc application, choosing what handle() should return, or wiring Chronicle event append from a command. Do not use for the .NET Arc command shape, for validation-only changes, or for query/read-model definition.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Define an Arc command in Kotlin or Java Arc.Kotlin brings the same command shape as Arc .NET to the JVM: a class carries the user's intent and owns its own handler. KSP (the Kotlin Symbol Processor) discovers it at compile time and generates a reflection-free `CommandHandler` — there is no controller or handler class to write by hand. ## Verified product sources Verified against `Arc.Kotlin` at tag **`v7.7.0`**: JDK 17, Gradle 8.14.4, Kotlin 2.4.20, KSP 2.3.12, Spring Boot 4.1.1, JUnit Jupiter 6.1.3. Sources include `ArcSymbolProcessor.kt`, `GradlePlugin/ArcExtension.kt` and `Integrations/Cratis`/`Integrations/Chronicle` publishing blocks. Use a released version from Maven Central, not the local `0.0.0-SNAPSHOT`. | Artifact | Purpose | | --- | --- | | `io.cratis:arc` | `io.cratis.arc.artifacts.Command`, `CommandKey`, `FromServices` | | `io.cratis:arc-ksp` | the KSP processor that generates the command handler | | `io.cratis:arc-spring-boot-starter` | Spring Boot auto-configuration, the command pipeline host | | `io.cratis:cratis` | recommended single dependency for an event-sourced app: Arc, Spring Boot wiring and Chronicle integration (`7.5.0+`) | …

How to install
mdr add cratis/ai/cratis-arc-command-kotlin@sha256:025a31066f12728eThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261012.0af903a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
