Verifies a change in the running app, over HTTP or in a browser (browser extensions included), and reports each check with its evidence. Use when asked to "check it actually works", "verify this live", or "smoke-test it in the browser", or to prove a change before merge. Not for writing or running unit or end-to-end test suites, or for just starting the app.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Live verify Prove a change works by watching it work: in the real app, against the real store, with evidence a reviewer can re-read. Tests passing is the entry condition, not the proof. ## Inputs - **The change**: the diff against the base branch, plus the spec or plan when there is one. The expected observable behavior comes from these. - **Mode**: `api` drives endpoints and checks responses and stored state; `browser` also drives the user interface and captures frames. Default: `browser` when the change touches a rendered surface, otherwise `api`. - **Project settings**: on every invocation, read `.claude/shipyard/live-verify.md` in the project root if it exists; its settings win over anything inferred. It can set boot commands and readiness checks, ports, how to get a test session, which datastores to check and how, which ones must never be written to, the browser executable, dev overlays to hide, and project-specific checks such as event ordering in a stream. Its shape is in [references/overlay-example.md](references/overlay-example.md). ## Output A report, verdict first: ``` ## Live verification: <pass | fail | blocked> …

How to install
mdr add lokeshrana9999/shipyard/live-verify@sha256:5401f52f7840753bThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261011.e174462, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
