Drafts the pull request title and body from the branch's diff and history, shows it for approval, then creates or updates the pull request on the project's code host. Run only when the user asks to write, draft, or publish the PR description.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# PR description Turn a branch into a pull request a reviewer can understand in under a minute: why it exists, what the diff can't show, what could break, and what feedback is wanted. Nothing reaches the code host until the user has seen everything that will be published. ## Inputs - The branch's diff and commit history against its base branch. - QA or test evidence, if a verification step produced any: scenario results, screenshots, commands and their output. - **Project settings**: on every invocation, read `.claude/shipyard/pr-description.md` in the project root if it exists; its settings win over the defaults below. It can set the code host and how to publish to it, the base branch, the description length limit, title and tag conventions, and an extended-context destination (such as a wiki page) with its layout. Its shape is in [references/overlay-example.md](references/overlay-example.md). ## Output A pull request created or updated on the code host, with its title and description, plus the extended-context page when the settings configure one. How to install
mdr add lokeshrana9999/shipyard/pr-description@sha256:a03fff5ac0290791The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261011.7acf6e7, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
