# Claimable Postgres
Instant ephemeral Postgres databases — no account required. Databases expire after 72 hours unless claimed to a Neon account.
## When to Apply
- Local development needing a real Postgres DB without Neon account
- Prototyping, demos, test environments
- Auto-provisioning on `vite dev` when `DATABASE_URL` is missing
- Any task that needs a database and the user hasn't provided one

How to install
mdr add tekkiiiii/the-agency/claimable-postgres@sha256:253f9583db362217The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260508.9e8707b, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
