Runs the deterministic task-gate review gates over only the files one developer task changed, applies their fixes, and reports a TASK_GATE digest line. Use before a developer agent reports a task done, when a TASK_GATE result or the task-gate is requested, or when a per-agent review gate must pass before handoff. Do not use when the request reviews a whole branch or pull request rather than one task's exit gate.

Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

What the file says

# Task Gate

The task gate is the exit check a developer agent runs on its own work before it reports
a task done. It is deterministic: the review gates declared for the agent in
`.kyber-weave/kyber-weave.yml` run through the `kyber-weave` CLI, so the result is the
gate's output and not the agent's opinion of its own change.

The gate covers one task. It never reviews the whole run, and it never inspects files the
task did not change.

## Inputs

- `<self>`: the agent name, for example `csharp-dev`. Pass it to `--agent` exactly.
- `<task-id>`: the task identifier from the plan or dispatch that assigned the work.
- `<files>`: only the files this task created or modified. Build the list from the task's
  own edits. Do not add files another worker is editing.
- `<gate-id>`: the id of a declared gate, taken from the gate output when one fails.

## Command

Use the `kyber-weave` command on `PATH`. Inside this checkout, when it is not on `PATH`, use
the fallback `dotnet run --project src/KyberWeave.Cli -c Release --` in its place.

Fix pass, scoped to this task:

```bash
…
Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
The exact contents, by fingerprint
mdr add dpalfery/kyber-weave/task-gate@sha256:a5b63bdb8d04729b
The line at the top of this page pins the label v0.1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
