Agentic end-to-end tests with e2e, the e2e runner. Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# e2e: agentic end-to-end tests in TypeScript
e2e runs UI tests with agent goals and exact assertions. `agent.act` drives
one goal; `agent.assert`, `agent.waitFor`, and `agent.extract` judge the
screen. `screen`, `app`, `browser`, and `expect` make exact interactions and
checks. The replay cache reruns verified actions and checks their recorded end
state without a model call; agent judgments still run live. UI targets use
`@e2e-dev/web` for browsers or `@e2e-dev/mobile` for iOS simulators,
Android emulators, and connected phones. A test that takes only `app` can check an API with `fetch`
and `expect` (topic `writing-tests`). Model sign-in commands are in
[setup](references/setup.md#subscriptions-and-api-keys).

How to install
mdr add gronxb/hot-updater/e2e@sha256:999625810997af4aThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261007.4ac807e, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
