MCP connection reference for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Windsurf. Use /mcpwp:setup for first-time guided setup.

Quick reference for connecting different MCP clients to a mcpwp-enabled WordPress site. $ARGUMENTS = client name or site URL + API key.

How to install
mdr add mumega-com/mcpwp-claude-plugin/connect@sha256:491e30c2f3721a0fThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260609.051dd65, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
