Standards for writing business assumptions documents — specific implementable statements, plain English, confidence levels, and stakeholder validation format. Use to draft a register or add a new entry. A stakeholder's answer to an assumption entry, however it arrives (a returned review, an email, a ruling given in chat), goes through assumptions-document-feedback instead, which applies these format rules.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Assumptions Document Writing Standards Guidelines for writing business assumptions documents. **Related skill**: `assumptions-document-feedback` records stakeholder responses to assumptions: any answer, correction or ruling on an assumption entry, whether it arrives as a returned review, an email, meeting notes or a line in chat, and even when it is one ruling recorded in passing during a build. Load that skill, not this one, to record it; it sends you back here for the format rules. --- ## Purpose Assumptions documents are for **getting business questions answered by stakeholders**, not for documenting our technical approach or implementation details. The goal is to move forward with development while getting validation on key business assumptions we're making. **Design for busy stakeholders**: These documents should be quick to scan and easy to respond to. Every element should earn its place—if it doesn't help stakeholders understand and validate, remove it. ## Guideline: Refer to "Business Validation", Not Specific People …

How to install
mdr add ensodynamics/enso-method/assumptions-document-writing@sha256:c78e391a65f2e208The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261102.32695c3, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
