K-stack prose rules for docs, READMEs, RFCs, PR descriptions, commit bodies, code comments, and agent replies. Cuts AI tells and routes writing to the right effort tier. Use when writing or editing any prose, or from k-mode.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

The worker drafts. The lead reads the result against the rules below before it ships.
## Shape by document
- **README.** What it is, in one sentence. Install. The smallest working example. Then reference material. No marketing section.
- **RFC or design doc.** Problem, constraints, proposal (data shape first), alternatives rejected and why, risks, rollout. Tables for comparisons.
- **PR description.** Follows `k-mode/playbooks/shipping-changes.md`.
- **Commit body.** Why the change exists. Never restate the subject line.
- **Docstring.** The contract: inputs, outputs, errors, one non-obvious constraint. Not the implementation.
- **Code comment.** Only a non-obvious *why*. Delete comments that narrate what the code does, phase markers in scripts, and changelog comments ("added X").

How to install
mdr add kasempiternal/k-stack/k-write@sha256:8f0ff1cdc9a043e1The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260929.5c87f77, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
