Acquire a password, token or SSH private key for an authorized operation using clud's masked native prompt and direct secret sinks. Use when a task needs credentials; never request or display their values in chat.

It suppresses sink stdout and stderr because commands may echo their input. Verify success with a command that reports authentication status without exposing the credential. If no desktop prompt is available, report that limitation; do not ask for the value in chat. `clud-askpass` implements GIT_ASKPASS, SSH_ASKPASS and SUDO_ASKPASS. How to install
mdr add zackees/clud/clud-secret@sha256:630d975f2be59164The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261022.93cf3a6, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
