# Rune — Zero-Trust AI Agent
## Overview
Rune is a high-performance, zero-trust AI agent built in Rust. It provides sandboxed tool execution with 5 isolation layers: network namespace, cgroups, seccomp BPF, Landlock filesystem, and DNS allowlist.
Use this skill when you need to:
- Execute commands in a security-isolated environment
- Read/write files with filesystem restrictions
- Fetch URLs with domain-level access control
- Inspect processes safely
- Serve a notes/markdown interface via `rune notes`
## Installation

## Usage
### Interactive Mode
```bash
rune
```
Use ↑/↓ to browse previous prompts in interactive mode.
### JSON Mode (for programmatic use)

How to install
mdr add fourdollars/rune/rune@sha256:4356cfdd5c35add8The line at the top of this page pins the label v0.1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
