Build, sign, notarize, and publish a Prowl release.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Release
Build, sign, notarize, and publish a Prowl release.
1. Verify current branch is `main`: `git branch --show-current`
- If not on main, abort and tell the user to switch first
2. Verify working tree is clean: `git status --porcelain`
- If dirty, list the changes and ask whether to proceed or abort
3. Sync the docs to the code being released — **before** the version bump and tag:
- First read `docs-ai/001-fork-bootstrap-and-release-pipeline/release-runbook.md`'s
**Workflow UI release scope** and **Agent contract release check**, and surface their status to the user. Follow the linked
contract runbook: run the full `--mode verify` suite with the owner's configured model
routes, then `--mode publish --report PATH` before bump/tag. Commit the generated receipt,
version baseline, and matrix. Publication requires the original artifacts/result bundles
and unchanged source, binaries, and routes within 24 hours; rerun after relevant changes.

How to install
mdr add onevcat/prowl/release@sha256:ce3cfc0fc181819aThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260917.72cdb96, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
